About The Halloween Season
Hello, I’m Deborah—your guide through the foggy streets, creaky hallways, and pumpkin-lined paths of The Halloween Season.
I’ve been in love with spooky tales, mystery-laced history, haunted places, and all things October for as long as I can remember. Growing up in the country, Halloween meant hayrides under the stars, the crunch of leaves underfoot, and that electric feeling in the air when the holiday finally arrived. Back then, it seemed to come and go in a blink—one magical night and then it was gone until next year.
Now, I have the time, tools, and delightfully spooky determination to keep the spirit of Halloween alive all year long. I get to share ghost stories, forgotten legends, strange history, seasonal recipes, and ideas for turning even the plainest porch into a haunted masterpiece—whenever the mood strikes.
The idea for this site started as a passing thought: Wouldn’t it be fun to write about Halloween, not just in October, but every month of the year? One evening, I started playing around with names, and—by some stroke of fortune—the domain thehalloweenseason.com was available. I grabbed it instantly. Two days later, the site was live and ready for its first story. (Being a web developer certainly made the process faster!)
October has always been my favorite month—my birthday falls just before Halloween—and maybe that’s part of why I’m drawn to it. I even have two friends who were born on Halloween itself, something I always thought was pretty magical.
For me, Halloween isn’t just costumes and candy—it’s a feeling. It’s the history in an old creaky building, the mystery of a forgotten grave, the thrill of a story whispered around a campfire. It’s about stepping into a world where the shadows hold secrets and the air is charged with possibility.
So here at The Halloween Season, you’ll find a little of everything:
- Spooky stories and haunted histories
- Seasonal recipes and treats
- DIY Halloween projects and decor
- Legends and folklore
- Nostalgic looks at Halloweens of the past
This site is my way of keeping that spark alive all year long—and sharing it with anyone who loves this season as much as I do.
Welcome to The Halloween Season. Let’s make every month feel like October.
— Deborah
